Snipe-Hunting With Jeffrey

About a week after hearing from Barb, I received another email from Dave. In it, he forwarded a memory of Jeff and Jenn from his sister, Kathy, who was also one of Jeffrey's first cousins. I particularly enjoyed reading this email because of the snipe-hunting. I mean, how many of us have ever gone on a snipe hunt before?! Another rare creation from the brilliant mind of Jeffrey Mylett.

"Hi Annette and siblings,
Wow, what a nice tribute to Jeff! He deserves every word. I learned things from all of the memories.
Annette, I'm Kathy and I'm one year older than Jeff. Jenn and Jeff were born June 8, 1949. I probably have more memories of Jenn than Jeff. They were awesome people. Not only talented but very generous and caring. They both actually went to Russia and studied, during a time when it was somewhat dangerous. They were very popular in high school - Hoover High in North Canton. (I believe Jenn was the homecoming queen.) I remember in the 60s and early 70s going to coffee houses in town and bragging to my friends that that was my cousin on the stage singing and playing his guitar. I remember Jeff singing "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". It's a beautiful love song, and to this day I think of Jeff when I hear it.
When we were younger, Jeff took us on a "snipe hunt" in the woods near their house. I was so scared. Only to find out later there was no such thing as a snipe! That's his ornery side. We had lots of fun with our cousins. We miss them!
Thank you for this fine tribute to our cousin!
Kathy"
Thanks, Kathy!!

...Actually, tacked onto Kathy's email, Dave wrote--
"I totally forgot about the snipe hunts. Jeff let me in on the secret, so it was funny for me. Everybody holding bags and making some kind of noise."
Haha, you'd better tell me when you
bag that snipe, so I can put a picture of it up here!
Thanks for sharing!
