Costume Concept
"Children-Clowns"
The Costumes are collages employing the use of different fabrics- stripes, polka dots, bold colors; a potpourri of objects seeming as if the kids picked them up at an antique store and just added them- tassels, cloth flowers, lace, buttons, safety pins, and patches; with each clown wearing old and new articles.
There are ten clowns, each with individual personalities.
Jesus and Judas are the clowns most different from the others. Of all the clowns they have no hats. Hats should not be so large that they restrict sight.
Also, all of the clowns wear colorful shoes, preferably varied i.e., combat boots, high button shoes, tennis shoes. The latter are used here alone for facility of dance.
I've employed the boldest use of stripes in Jesus and Judas, making them again, different, or, outstanding. There is no use of movement in Jesus, but it exists as an element in all others.

CLOWN #1**JESUS
Superman shirt-magnified striped pants suspenders and carnation -Mr. America Socks, Bright orange shoes with Pom-Poms of orange yarn ,Yellow underpants. Of all the clowns, his shoes are all one color. He is the simplest, most direct, most easy to look at.
CLOWN #2**JOANNE
Hot pants- Red Tank Top-- movement in sleeves, Maroon Hat with flower -Blue velvet jacket, Green tights, socks, orange shoes, glitzy waistband, Fitted form- shows off figure, yet is funny.

Bright orange shirt, short striped t-shirt, Pom-Poms -movement -rolled down stockings, Baggy elephant pants "Little Mary Sunshine" hat, dancing slippers, Little girl, Shirley Temple image
CLOWN #4**GILMER
Dress with ruffles-movement, Blue Blouse, black tights, Red Shoes, Rust hat with rose, Washer Lady look
